Accessing Problems Reported on Forum

Over the past week or so, a number of readers, mainly BT users, have been having problems accessing the Agility Forum. Fiona Hulse, its administrator, has been in touch with Parsimony, owners of the Forums, about the situation. Their reply is that some of the Parsimony servers were subjected to a Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack from the BT network. As a result, the BT network has been blocked by Parsimony for the time being. Alex (the owner of Parsimony) didn't indicate when the block would be lifted.

Registration Reminder

With registration requests coming in each day, below is a link to the updated new registry. If you've registered recently and haven't tried your password, see if you're on the list by following the link.

Remember to fill in all parts of the form when you register - including the Name box - Yes we've had folks forget to fill that in- and the Introduction.

Update on Registrations - Please read!

The registrations system is, by and large, working well, with a few new registrations being added each day.

However, there are a few common themes emerging:

  1. When you register, please make a note of your password! And remember that passwords are cAsE SEnsitIVE.
  2. The form asks for your full name as you want it to appear. Your registration will not be activated if you don't include a surname.
  3. Confirmation emails are NOT sent out when your registration is activated. The day after you register, try using your password. It will almost certainly work as I'm updating every day at the moment.

If, for some reason, your password isn't working the next day, and you're sure you've typed it in properly, do the following:

  1. Check using the 'Status' button (it says on the registration page how to do this) whether your registration has been activated, is still awaiting processing, or has been declined. If declined, I will normally email you separately with further information (as I'm about to do with 'Francis' without a surname, and Maria Johnston who's forgotten that her password begins with a capital letter
  2. If you have no joy with the above, contact Fiona Hulse via this link

Have fun!
